On a rainy day the Army Air Corps take a turn guarding the Tower of London.

The Tower of London served as the Royal Armoury and there are still has some impressive displays of weapons. But maybe, just maybe, this is outclassed by the display in Inveraray Castle!
On the 2017 visit we managed a photo of the Shard growing out of the Tower of London. Back in 2007 there was no Shard, the latest addition to the skyline was the Gherkin,
On a rainy day in 2007 the White Tower is looking a bit grubby, but after more than 900 years I guess that is understandable!
This decorated armour was probably worn by Henry, Prince of Wales. The campaigns of Alexander the Great provide the decoration for this suit of armour. In the 17th Century many considered Alexander to be the greatest military commander of antiquity.
